For a comfortable journey by rail, you can take the train to Mötz, Telfs-Pfaffenhofen, or Ötztal-Bahnhof. From there, we are pleased to offer you our complimentary hotel shuttle service. Alternatively, a direct bus service (Postbus) runs from Innsbruck Central Station to the “Obsteig – Holzleiten” stop, located just a few meters from our entrance.

Travel tip: Guests staying with us receive a Welcome Card (our regional guest card), which entitles you to complimentary use of the public bus between Innsbruck and Holzleiten throughout your stay.

• The most convenient and closest station to the hotel is Mötz (approx. 10-minute transfer).

For pick-ups from Innsbruck Airport or Innsbruck Main Station, we are happy to organize a transfer for a fee of €70 per one-way journey (for up to 4 people).

Yes, we provide ample complimentary parking for our guests directly at the hotel; no reservation is required. For guests arriving with electric vehicles, we offer five e-charging stations with an 11 kW charging capacity, available for a fee.

No, you can enjoy a completely car-free holiday at Hotel Holzleiten. Thanks to the included Welcome Card for our region, you can leave your car parked. A public bus stop is located directly outside our front door, and your guest card entitles you to unlimited, complimentary travel between Innsbruck and Holzleiten, as well as throughout the entire region.

The journey from Munich and Garmisch via the Fernpass to Obsteig/Holzleiten is typically toll-free (no vignette required). However, if you are traveling via the Austrian A12 motorway from the direction of Innsbruck or Arlberg, a valid motorway toll sticker is mandatory.

You can easily reach Hotel Holzleiten in Obsteig on the Mieming Plateau via public transport.

• Connecting in Telfs: Telfs serves as another convenient boarding point for regional bus connections to Obsteig.

• From Innsbruck: Take the A12 motorway – Exit Telfs West – follow signs toward Fernpass – pass through Affenhausen, Obermieming, Barwies, and Fronhausen to Obsteig – Holzleiten.
• From Arlberg: Take the A12 motorway – Exit Mötz – follow signs toward Fernpass – Obsteig – Holzleiten.
• From Munich/Garmisch (direct): Take the Fern Pass – at Nassereith, head toward Innsbruck – Holzleiten/Obsteig (Recommended/Shortest route).
• From Munich/Garmisch (alternative): Travel via Seefeld and Telfs – then follow signs through Affenhausen, Obermieming, Barwies, and Fronhausen to Obsteig – Holzleiten.

Important note regarding toll stickers (Vignette): The journey via Munich, Garmisch, and the Fernpass is typically toll-free (no toll sticker required). However, please note that a valid motorway toll sticker is mandatory for all guests using the Austrian A12 motorway from the direction of Innsbruck or Arlberg.

• Munich Airport (MUC): Approximately 140 km away.

The nearest airport is Innsbruck (INN), located approximately 45 kilometres from Hotel Holzleiten. Upon request, we are happy to arrange a transfer for you (subject to a fee, more information at Location & Directions).
